Brilliant hidden gem. The traders are really friendly and helpful and they always have exactly what I’m looking for at a reasonable price. Actually - don’t come here, it’s perfect as it is!
Fun place. Lots of cool retro and mid-century classic furniture on display here.

I used to always come here for a wash and blow dry and always used to pay £25. I recently came here and was quoted over the phone the wash and blow dry is still £25, after explaining my hair is thick and long as I know hairdressers get excited and try and charge you more when they see long hair. The hair stylist done an amazing blow-dry and was very friendly but when it came to paying she asked me how much I pay and I told her £25 and she said next time it will be £30 due to length of hair. Then a lady stepped in and said the price has changed its going to be £30 apparently she wrote it already on the book but was rather bizarre because i was told £25 over the phone. I paid the £30 because the lady was nice and done a good job but wont be returning because you cant change the prices suddenly, this should be explained before they start doing your hair. Note to salon/to keep customers you most always be honest and explain to them properly and perhaps say on the next occasion it will be this price, because greed is what looses you money.
Love Bounce Hair! Great hairdressers! Mary in particular is very professional and attentive. I do colour, highlights cut and finish and I am very happy with the suggestions and the results!

Fantastic service. Willing to go the extra mile. I always come here for my waxing. Mel (the salon owner) does a super quick, as painless as possible wax. Customer satisfaction is a top priority for all staff here. The salon is always clean, staff are friendly, professional and helpful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
I always come out of Mel's salon feeling amazing.😊

Great experience I had a facial which was the best I have ever received so calming and great team in the shop, lovely atmosphere so friendly kind and treatments are only the best. Also had a pedicure and manicure my nails and feet have never felt better hands feel so smooth and they took so much time caring and ensuring I was good. Would recommend this to anyone best shop in Crystal Palace so happy.
Great service so so pleased, got lash extensions which was my first time so wasn't sure what to expect but the hospitality and friendliness of all the staff was second to none. Accommodating and was very pleased with the results in the end. They offer a lot of treatments so will likely go back for a facial or other treatment!

Lovely little bookshop ( a dying breed of shops!). Have all the usual suspects in terms of choices and newer classics. Used to do reading here not sure more recently if this is the case. Has at least one really knowledgeable and v helpful assistant there. Always worth a visit to pop in for your next read and certainly more engaging than Amazon!
Great shop for both adults and kids, has a nice area for small ones to enjoy
45 Upland Rd, London SE22 9EF, UK – 020 3581 1850
A really nice bookstore in Dulwich, staffed by friendly people who go above and beyond to help. Asked for a book, and was helped straight away in finding it - even though they didn't have it in stock, they ordered it for me and it was there within 24 hours. The store itself is really nicely laid out and has the feel of a shop owned by book lovers. They have a good selection of cards too, it's my first port of call whenever a birthday is approaching.
New shop has a Good coffee shop and very good on travel books .The shelving is very good .right height for the books.. Disappointed shelves are not labeled , hard to workout and find catergories..Book shelves are missing some of the classics and best selling authors and titles.

This is a great place to buy children's books. My sons love it here and can spend a long time picking what books are to come home with us. The school holiday events are also good and help bring books alive
Very nice small bookshop selling a great variety of children’s to teens books. Very friendly staff

I love this place, a real old-school motoring cave with vast knowledge, great prices and masses of stock. A rare gem in the internet age.
helpful staff, managed to find a replacement wing mirror glass for an ldv easily and suggested more appropriate engine oil. Will use them again in the future.

Just spoke to Sam, very helpful and knowledgeable, advising me what to do with my new triumph Meta alarm (which he said he could fit for me for a 'too good to be true price') and it was delivered quickly. He advised on some precautions to take to make sure I don't end up stranded, great customer service. Thanks Sam
I found myself in a jam when the imobaliser was stoping my bike from starting, a quick call to Abacus and with in seconds they had diagnosed the problem and also had the part in stock and ready for collection. What makes this even more impressive is it was late on a Sunday afternoon!! And the owner hung around until i arrived. Cant praise them enough.fair prices too.

I brought a VW eos from Hamiltons. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The car is in amazing condition and He went over everything I needed to know about the car. It was a good lengthy test drive. Highly recommended. He had a whole car park of nice cars to choose from. I had visited a lot of places and I am fully happy I went with Hamiltons.
Bought a 2010 manual Renault clio from George at Hamiltons for my mother in law back in March 2016, car has been great no problems at all, went through it's last MOT first time, very happy customer, will use again

Quick, as you're able to pay at the pump. (Addition) After the refurbishment you are not able to use your points card at the pump so even though you can pay at the pump you have to go in to get the points! A bit pointless...
Local petrol station with the added benefit of pay at pump, which helps eliminate the congestion on the forecourt. Also there’s a Tesco Express... convenient for picking up groceries. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Always my first choice, especially as it’s next to Brockwell Park!!

This is an unusual review but one that I wanted to post! We ran out of nappies and at 3am Sunday morning I needed to change my daughter so had to send out my partner to find some urgently. It couldn't wait until morning as she isn't potty trained yet and it was a Sunday so the shops wouldn't be open as early as usual. My partner went searching for somewhere open and came back to tell me the only ones he could find were size 3 and some at the petrol station (this one) but he couldn't remember what size. I called and spoke with the gentleman who worked there (Raj I believe his name was) and he said only 3 and 4 were available. We needed size 6+ but a 6 or 5 at a desperate push. Tired and stressed I continued to look online for anywhere open that may stock some in larger sizes and I got a call, it was Raj, he said he had some size 5 nappies in his car that were for his child and offered to give them to us, what a gentleman!!! My partner met him and he gave us some nappies and saved us so much stress. This is going completely up and beyond for a customer and I don't think anyone else would have done that so I hope he gets the recognition he so deserves!!! If you're reading this Raj, thank you SO very much, you're one of a kind and we appreciate the kindness you showed us!!! (Also I hope I got your name correct! Sorry if I haven't!). To many this isn't a big deal but to a tired and stressed out parent it means the world :)
Very good from a black cab driver

Food store was a great little Co-op for about 6 months. Now operating as a Budgen. Jury out ...
Great if you're a fan of the Disney Pixar movie Cars. There's lot of them.
86 London Rd, Forest Hill, London SE23 3PE, UK – 07834 936764
Friendly staff. Shop has a good variety for a local shop. Fuel is reasonably priced. They have a Costa coffee machine which is good to get on route to work. Quick service too.
This is a handy shop with reasonable selections of fresh food for quite a small place. Naturally you won't get really special stuff here but what they sell is fine. The staffing seems to be a bit random though sometimes good sometimes lackadaisical.
63/69 Sternhold Ave, Streatham, London SW2 4PB, UK – 020 8623 9547
Nothing special: it’s just a straightforward filling station with a typical slightly overpriced convenience shop attached. Note that this was until very recently a BP station, but just as with the BP at East Dulwich it has now changed to Esso. That means you can no longer use your Nectar loyalty card, but instead can collect points on your Tesco Clubcard instead.

Great place for clothes and little nic naks!
The shop is a little cramped, however there are bargains to be had. There's usually a good selection of both children's and adult's books; and a range of DVDs and CDs...
136 Kirkdale, Forest Hill, London SE26 4BB, UK – 020 8699 3172
Wonderfully amiable and highly proficient staff who go out of their way to help. Well clued in all the products and drugs they dispense and they have an array of services above and beyond that of a normal neighbourhood pharmacy. How could one not patronise such a place?
Prices aren't as low as you can get elsewhere but the pharmacy is well stocked. Service a little slow and occasionally without a smile (from pharmacists) but prescription collection services are quite well organised.
235 Knight's Hill, West Norwood, London SE27 0QT, UK – 020 8670 2562
I have only just started using Pascoes even though they are my nearest pharmacy - shied away because parking can be a bit tricky at times, but the service and helpful attitude of the pharmacist has been so great that I shall make the effort now to go there as my first point of call.
Excellent local pharmacy. Very knowledgeable staff. Just ask for advice

It was apparent within 5 minutes of first speaking with Tim that he really knew his onions - and that he was able to translate deep technical insight into simple, practical and efficient solutions. Rarely is it the case with tech, but truly with Tim it will indeed “just work” if he says it will - and if he says it won’t, then he will come up with something better to do the job. You can’t go wrong; I have nothing but praise. I think this is the first time I have felt moved to leave a review about anything.
Tim at Tea London set up a full working home network (Cat7), wifi and television automation in our large house in London. The professionalism and dedication to quality in both the hard installation and the system development was second to none. This was five years ago and since then Tim has provided excellent help and support to the system always responding to requests in less than half an hour and providing either remote or attendance servicing. I can wholeheartedly recommend Tea London

Very helpful staff. I used to work at a Currys and was always pushed to aggressively up-sell and push extra warranties which always frustrated customers, but staff here seemed far more keen on just helping you find the right product for you. Easy to get to with a bus stop right outside, handy as we had to lug a big telly home with us!
It has stuff, you can buy. It might not be the stuff you want, and what help you get is largely a matter of luck. For computer supplies, components, peripherals and consumables, the shelves seem very sparsely stocked on some occasions, and what the do have often seems to have been previously opened and returned - be vigilant. If they've got it and you need it quickly and the price is okay then go ahead and buy. But you will almost invariably be able to find a better range of choices at lower cost online, which is a shame. With Maplin gone there are precious few places left for electronics and computer enthusiasts, and Currys PC World is far from a cornucopia.

Karl is a super star. A genuine person with a wealth of knowledge who is there to help and make your life easier.
I've just had my 2009 MacBook Pro refurbished by Karl at System Solutions in East Dulwich. It's like having a new computer! Karl was very helpful in advising the best course of action and he carried out the work quickly and successfully at short notice before the bank holiday weekend. I was particularly grateful for his wisdom and advice on clearing out needless files and software and also help in setting it up for my wife to become the primary user. Karl's friendly and helpful manner gave me confidence to use System Solutions in the future and so I will be returning for any further Mac related issues. Thanks Karl.

We went through and tested and trialled many different field management software packages to suit the needs of our growing business. When we came across Flobot, we soon realised that it was by far and away the best out of the bunch. It was much more adaptable to our specific needs and workflow and more importantly easier to navigate. It has the depth of detail we need as a maintenance company managing many in-the-field service people and the day-to-day office administration to ensure a smooth operation. Deciding on a field management software product is a highly daunting task and it's not something you want to get wrong. Luckily we chose wisely - and if you want some reassurances from us about how good this software package is then please feel free to contact us, we'd love to tell you know how happy we are with it and how it has made us more efficient and has so far met our every need.
We have been using this software for a few months now and it was great to begin with, exactly what we were looking for to run our property maintenance business but now it just keeps getting better. With the new app features and the upcoming client log on portal this is transforming our small business and making sure we are quicker, busier and more efficient in both getting the right information about the jobs to the engineers plus getting it back easier and faster than we could have ever hoped for. This then gets back to the client quicker updating them at every stage its proving indispensible and making us look better and bigger than we are! Love the new homepage interface and being able to track the guys...looking forward to more groundbreaking features! Rob is always on hand if you do have any issues using the system and brings a friendly approachable attitude to IT support not baffling you with buzz whats keeps it nice and simple .

A great service from a small business that would rival most of the bigger companies. My laptop was running slow (in my opinion) and not only did Repair Daemon collect it from me but they ran diagnostics and told me it was running okay. I was given the option to increase the speed with a new hardrive if I chose to or leave it until a later date and upgrade the laptop. There was no hard sell to upgrade it unnecessarily and as I decided to leave it as it was... there was no charge for the service they had provided. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again in the future. Many thanks for a great service!
I have used this company a couple of times now for repair and maintenance of my aging laptop. Satya is friendly and helpful and has completed all jobs swiftly and satisfactorily. I would highly recommend his services.

Small shop but they have so much nice thing cards and stuff always so nice :)
What a fantastic small shop with that real village feel. The staff were really helpful, there wasn't a card appropriate for my mum on the racks so the lady "looked in the drawers"... Low and behold I was given a choice of 4 or 5... Then I had tooooo many to choose from. :) . I'll defiantly be recommending my friends and family.

I did Christmas shopping at this wonderful shop, offering a something for everyone, I was given advice and help from the owner, and on my next visit was able to enjoy some sale items. I found the staff helpful and patient with my deliberations, and would highly recommend paying a visit and finding out for yourself what a variety of gifts they have to offer.
It's such a great shop!!! You will always find a nice gift there for someone you like or just for yourself. Great selection of candles, either perfumed or regular. Very nice soaps and amazing bath melt... Helpful and kind staff, they always wrap or pack everything in a lovely way.

31 Dulwich Village, London SE21 7BN, UK – 020 8693 5938
Classic art shop with plenty on offer. It has all the sort of equipment that you might need for art lessons and GCSEs etc. - quite a lot of it in stock, which is handy when you can't go to Amazon!! Man is the shop is knowledgeable and very helpful in making appropriate choices ...especially helpful when a child insists on one item or another!
Lovely local art shop with charming toy shop at the back. The owner is very helpful and generous with his time.

A snug place with a great selection of beers: Cloud water, Kernel and Mad Hatter to name a few. Also has a loyalty card (must buy 3 for a stamp), beers on draft so you can stop for a half and a couple of tables outside
Even local but been there first time. Great gem in Streatham. Love craft beer n they have plenty of variety in bottles & cans. Small place but well service with cool staff. All I was missing Wi-fi as there were really low signals n can’t use any app for finding a selected beer or use Untappd. Hope they’ll sort out things for it as well.
2a Anerley Hill, London SE19 2AA, UK – 020 8676 8825
Excellent service throughout. From Tuesday when I went to talk to them about needing a new hybrid bike, through to Wednesday when I bought the bike. Very understanding and helpful staff . The store even has other facilities, such as spin aerobics, and even toilets for the public to use, if they give some sort of custom to the shop. One small drawback. There is a cafe on the premises, which, on the two occasions that I was there, was closed. Not too sure what on, but it looks like I was given a discount as well, to the sum of £13.97. Now, that is what I call customer service! The store was recommended by my brother - in - law. I definitely would recommend it to other people. E
Great service all round. Staff are very knowledgable and helpful, and a great bike fit service. In store cafe is also a must visit while in the store, great food and excellent coffee
632-636 Streatham High Rd, Streatham, London SW16 3QL, UK – 020 8679 6197
Fantastic family run bike shop. Great service and I got an absolute bargain too. I had been looking at a discounted 2017 bike (I looked everywhere online and this was by far the cheapest) however there was only 1 left in my size and when they began to assemble it they noticed some damage on the frame, so without question they gave me the new 2018 model at the same discounted price. Bargain! Delivery was quick and free and I have been told that I can have a complimentary service in 6 weeks. I can't comment on after service yet as I have just received my bike, but so far it seems that Maurice the owner has really gone the extra mile. In fact I never write reviews but feel compelled to do so in this case! Highly recommended.
Great service at this friendly family run bike shop. The staff and mechanics really know the stuff and offer friendly advice. Fantastic selection of bicycles and accessories at competitive prices. A bike shop which has stayed the test of time for only one reason. The excellent knowledge and service. I would recommend this shop.

They did a good job of fitting a new stereo to my vehicle. Sadly spoilt when I received a parking charge notice for the time my vehicle was in their car park being worked on. I've amended this review as the store were helpful in trying to sort it out (unlike the car park owners).
The Staff at Halfords - Brixton are approach able and helpful and the products sold are well laid out and good presentation.

Fantastic service from the guys, and they have nearly everything you need for fixing up your house or garden.
Tiniest shop that has absolutely everything you could need at home!
73 Streatham Hill, London SW2 4UB, UK – 020 8674 9911
Great DIY shop with extensive stock at good prices. No matter how obscure the item you seek they invariably have it. Very helpful team - on the rare occasion that they do not stock the item you seek ( I was looking for a specialist door lock mechanism) they will advise where best to find it locally and how to get there. I love coming in here because the team of gentlemen behind the counter are very knowledgeable, exceptionally courteous and have a lovely warm sense of humour with excellent banter. I always leave with what I need and a smile.
Great local store, have all those little things that you need as well as larger items. Friendly staff, you always get a bit of banter to cheer you up!

Walked in to the shop and came away with a large and beautiful bunch of flowers, and an indoor plant. Much better than any other local florist in the area.
I have ordered flowers from The Little Flower Shop before and have always been very happy with the flowers. I bought a bouquet online for my girlfriend and she loved it. I had them sent to her workplace she was pleasantly surprised and said that all of her friends in the office were so jealous, so will definitely order again soon :)
82 Dulwich Village, London SE21 7AJ, UK – 020 8693 3048
I have bought flowers from here three times now. The first time they lasted a week after cutting the stalks every other day as instructed. The second and third time I did the same and my flowers lasted 3 days. They cost £28 each time! The staff are friendly and helpful but the quality of the flowers is poor given how long they last and how much I was charged. I will not be returning sadly.
Beautiful blue and orange flowers were delivered to me today. A special florist and worth supporting always.
483 Lordship Ln, Dulwich, London SE22 8JY, UK – 020 8693 3332
Amazing florist, really good selection of flowers and plotted plants. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The prices they charge are highly competitive, a lot more reasonable than other florists in the same area. I would highly recommend it.
Indaco Flowers is simply the best. I placed a last-minute order for same day delivery and they did not disappoint. My order was delivered as scheduled and the arrangement was absolutely beautiful.. Thank you Indaco...

A brilliant health food shop which is very well stocked with great products and lots of vegan options. Fantastic friendly staff especially Colin and Marisa who are both very knowledgeable and helpful. Ive discovered lots of new products through their recommendations. Would recommend a visit, best health food shop around.
If you’re into health than this is the place to go. A wide range of health foods, vitamins, minerals, supplements, shampoos, shower gels, essential oils and more. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and courteous and allow you to take your time and browse. However, they are on hand to help if you need it.

I use the herbalist quite a lot, it is highly profecional and i can only recomend it to everyone.
Maitrihealth is the best alternative health clinic I've ever been to. The staff are extremely friendly and polite. I was advised to take a product called Synergy after describing my symptoms. This product has changed my entire life for the better. I can't thank the clinic enough. Their combined expertise and professionalism help to deliver the best customer experience. I recommend people to visit the store to see how incredible it is.

Amazing shop, full of every ingredient you could need, however obscure. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. Have been going, and will continue to go, for many years.
Wonderful shop with an incredible range of food stocking obscure ingredients, saving time and travelling. The staff can be helpful, and very funny, sometimes looking a bit jaded. I would be if having to deal with public for very long hours.

Nice and polished shop window with a wide range of edgy but trendy jewellery. I bought several gold plated bracelets and ring and after 1 year I can say the quality is excellent.

Without doubt the premier jewellers in South London. The proprietor, Darryll Norwood has a professionalism and charm that I have not seen a match for. If you need a jeweller, then come here. Satisfaction *is* guaranteed.
Unfortunately I lost my dad last month and was given his signet ring. The ring was originally given to him for his 50th birthday from me. He wore it for 26 years and as you can imagine it was really beaten up not to mention too big for me. I began searching for a jewellery shop who could resize it for me. With the help of Google I found Crystal Palace Jewellers. The reviews were good so I rang to find out if they could help. I was told straight away that a goldsmith is on the premises on Saturday, so pop in. I did just that and went to the shop on the 10th March at approximately 11.30am and spoke to the goldsmith. He was friendly and professional. After the consultation he was happy to reduce the ring by 10 sizes! I was also informed of the price which was incredibly reasonable. I was advised to return a couple of hours later. When I returned I was amazed to find my dad's battered old ring now looked brand new and fitted like a dream. I highly recommend this business if you need any alterations. I would also like to say a big thank you again to the goldsmith who has given me the opportunity of keeping my dad literally close at hand X

Not only do they sell all I could need for my dog, Brenda (who works there) also recently went all the way to my house and posted a note through my door when I accidentally left my wallet with driver's licence in the shop one weekend. So grateful.
The staff members are really nice and ready to help, it's incredible how a small shop can have soo much. I absolutely love it.

Best advice in the World! Went in once for advice, rather than purchasing and decided to get my dog food from there ever since
I love pets

I always find what I need for fussy cats at this too cute boutique in Balham. Owner is attentive, knowledgeable and always has great suggestions to try. Loads of great products, probably more available for the doggy Mums and Dads but a very welcome part of the local shopping scene. Buy local!
This is my regular pet shop where I get everything for my dogs, from food to treats to specialist items and anything they don't have is ordered in, it has the feel of an old school local shop where the service is personable and real advice is given on the products and not just sold to you. I love little free samples of new treats or biscuits for my dogs that I'm often given. Im a believer in supporting local independent shops and Tallys is a classic example of this.

No doubt an excellent place to buy new gear and service used one. They can order any new gear at very competitive price comparing with any online retailer. They also included a 3 years service with a new BCD, which I have not seen at any online retailer.
I took my regulators and BCD here for a service. Spoke with James the owner, what a really helpful guy. If you need anything diving related, come here. I traveled 1.5 hours to get here but worth it. Service is superb and a real friendly atmosphere. I can’t recommend highly enough. Just brilliant.

Argos isn't a place I would go to buy things straight up unless it was jewelry or gift cards, I usually order online then collect it upfront which is easier for me.
Quick and easy, they have replaced the old chunky touchscreens with new faster ones

Easy to book online, great advice over the telephone and perfect installation. Thank you very much, I can only recommend their services.
Easy booking system, came round within a couple of days to fit new TV aerial, got the best reception i could hope for. Helped me out big time to show me how to operate everything through the TV to get the HD channels etc. Price included all parts, so was never any shocking extra fees, thanks Nab who installed it who was brilliant.

I knew Tracey's cakes looked beautiful but this weekend I discovered that her chocolate cake is the most delicious cake I have ever tasted. A really fluffy texture, moist chocolatey with lots of layers of a perfect ganache inside the cake and a lovely thick layer outside. I have always made my own cakes and was recently asked to make a cake for a relative's wedding but had no time. So I cheated and asked Tracey and passed it off as my own. I'm sad to say it was much much better than my own (although I consider myself a good cake maker) I am afraid I will be tempted now to ask Tracey to make all my cakes. It really was fantastic and I recommend Tracey's cakes without hesitation. And by the way all organic ingredients and free range eggs.
The cakes I ordered tasted very nice and the decorations are top class. Will always get my cakes here.

Customer service is amazing. Everything is avoidable and the help and advice is much appreciated when stuggling on cakes. Defo recommended!!!
I didn't know the shop was there until last year (2016) after doing a Google search....but since then, I've been a regular customer! Tracey (the owner) is always friendly, helpful and supportive. The shop is well presented and clean. Great shop - well done!

Staff here are amazing and really know their stuff. Glass service for parties is amazing and I've used it many times as its easier than getting mine out.
I like Majestic. An opportunity to buy interesting wines, for no more than a bottle in your local Co-op. You can also just buy single bottles.
